This site exists to explain in plain language what the scientific evidence says about urological and men's health. These are the rules behind every piece of content.

1. Sources

I prioritize, in this order:

  1. Clinical practice guidelines from recognized scientific societies and health bodies.
  2. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
  3. Randomized controlled trials.
  4. Observational studies, when no higher-quality evidence exists, and I say so.

Every relevant medical claim must be traceable to a verifiable source (DOI, PMID, or a link to the guideline). When the evidence is limited, conflicting, or preliminary, I state it explicitly.

2. Medical review

  • All medical content is reviewed by me before publication or, if it was published without review, it is identified as such.
  • The "Reviewed by a physician" label only appears when I have recorded that review in the system, with a date. Publishing does not equal reviewing.
  • Content is reviewed periodically and whenever new evidence changes a recommendation.

3. Use of artificial intelligence

I use AI tools for support: to propose outlines, drafts, and translations. AI never publishes. AI-assisted texts are flagged internally and are not presented as reviewed until I have reviewed them, checked them against the sources, and approved them.

4. Translations

English versions are not unreviewed machine translations: they are adapted and reviewed before publication. Some content exists in only one language.

5. Reader questions

Questions published in "Ask Dr. Pablo Rojas" are rewritten in general terms, without any information that identifies anyone. Answers are educational: they do not replace a medical consultation, are not a diagnosis, and do not prescribe individual treatment.

6. Independence and advertising

The site does not publish sponsored content or advertising. If any sponsorship, paid collaboration, or conflict of interest related to a topic ever exists, it will be clearly disclosed in the relevant content.

7. Corrections

If you find an error, write to contacto@drpablorojas.com. I will review it and, if appropriate, correct the content and update its date.
